Do you ship to the continental U.S?
Yes! We’re proud to offer FedEx Priority Overnight shipping on all of our products to ensure your lei arrives fresh and on time. All shipments are USDA-inspected and carefully packaged for safe delivery.
How do you ensure your lei are pest free and safe for shipping?
We follow strict standards in sourcing and handling all flowers and foliage to prevent the presence of pests. Our materials are carefully selected, cleaned, and stored in a controlled environment to maintain quality.
Before shipping—especially to the continental U.S.—every lei is inspected and cleared by the USDA. This final inspection ensures our products meet federal agricultural regulations and arrive to you fresh, safe, and pest-free.
What is the shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. We offer a flat rate of $30 for orders to the continental U.S. and $25 for inter‑island shipments within Hawai‘i.
Orders of $300 or more qualify for free shipping.
Do you do weddings and events?
Yes! We do offer wedding and event floral services upon requests. make sure you go to the “Get in Touch” tab on our website to inquire within.
Where do you get your native pua and lau from?
Native Lāʻau are sustainably gathered on the island of Hawaiʻi and Molokaʻi. Whether its from aunties backyard or in the nahele, each piece is collected with intention, respect, and a commitment to mālama ʻāina.
Where can I learn to make lei?
We are currently working with local organizations to start lei classes. Please stay tuned for more info.
Do you use ʻŌhiʻa Lehua and Liko in your lei ?
Absolutely not. We are committed to the prevention of the spread of RAPID OHIA DEATH, most commonly known as ROD. For more information abut ROD, please visit here.
How do I care for my lei when received?
Each order you will have a set of lei instructions. You can also download the pdf here!
What can I do with my lei after I am finished with it?
You can dry your lei and hang it on your wall or store it for safe keeping. Otherwise, if you plan on disposing of your lei, it is important to return your lei to ʻāina. Go to your favorite outdoor place and give it to the land as an offering. Don’t worry, all of our lei are made completely with natural, biodegradable material.
How far in advance should I place my order?
We recommend placing your order at least 10-15 days in advance, especially for custom orders or large events. Rush orders may be available. Rush orders will be based on availability and there will be a surcharge.
What are your refund policies?
At Ho‘omana‘o Lei, we take pride in crafting fresh, custom-made Hawaiian lei. Because of the perishable and personalized nature of our products, all sales are final, and we do not accept returns.
To ensure your satisfaction, we confirm all orders with customers prior to shipment. This includes verifying arrangement style, flower selection, delivery details, and any special requests. Once approved by the customer, the order is considered final.
If your order arrives damaged or significantly different from what was confirmed, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. Include photos and a description of the issue. We will review your concern and, at our discretion, may issue a replacement or store credit.
What are your rush order surcharges?
To ensure the quality and freshness of each handcrafted lei, we ask that orders be placed at least 10–15 days in advance of the desired ship date. Orders placed with less notice will incur a rush fee based on the following schedule:
10–13 days before delivery: +20%
5–9 days before delivery: +50%
3–4 days before delivery: +75%
24–48 hours before delivery: +100%
All rush orders are subject to availability and must be approved by Ho‘omana‘o Lei. After confirming your order, we will send you an invoice with the additional charges. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion.
